♡ Insta Posts of the Week ♡ 5.30.15

So I'm currently sitting at a desk, typing up blog posts, when I came up with a new idea.
It's quite simple, and slightly similar to other ideas from magazines and the like.

I think, since so many people seem to love Instagram (myself included), I decided to make a post weekly (or on occasion) about my favorite Instagram pictures of the week.
As I'm typing this I am coming up with ideas for it:

1. The picture will be from my likes of the week
2. There might be more than one photo

I like this idea, I think it's fun, and I might even introduce you to someone you don't follow yet?!

So let's get this started, Insta Posts of the Week:

Liam and Sophia are such cuties, and this app seems to be ridiculously popular at the moment?!

I have been in such a desperate desire for one of these kinds of school skirts for a long time (maybe it's because my uniform wearing days are over??)

I absolutely love this pineapple ring?!! Can I please get my hands on this?

So these are my posts of the week, next time I won't have the big long intro like I did here. This time it is there to introduce you to my new little "segment" (haha) if you will.

Maybe eventually I'll have you, my pals, send in your own photos for the chance to have them posted in my posts of the week?!!

What were your photo faves this week?

✩ Team Rallison ✩

It is officially my summer vacation, which means I am officially free.

How funny is it, that the moment I no longer have heavy duty responsibilities, all my favorite shows end?!

Take American Idol, watched that show and was all about this season because Nick Fradiani, THE winner, is from my home state! (HOW COOL)

Then we have The Royals, on E!
That show escalated so quickly that I hardly had a moment to even realize that things were getting out of hand?! And now it is over and I'm just left hanging, waiting for season 2 (which, yes, we are getting!)

And then we have Dancing With The Stars.
If you could not tell by the title of this post, I was in fact, Team Riker and Allison.

I do not think I even have actual words to describe how lovely, unique, hardworking, clever, and original these two were/are.
Each week their dances wowed me, I thought, always, THIS is their best dance, and then they'd come back the next week and absolutely KILL IT.

Their Contemporary was one unlike any other, their Salsa made me want to get up and dance with them, and that Tango with Julianne leaves me amazed, then we have that Paso Doble (Captain Jack Sparrow sure can bust a move).
I honestly do not think I can say I have a favorite dance when it comes to Riker and Allison, and I do, in all honesty, hope that this is not the end of their dancing partnership.
That is one ship that I would NOT miss out on, hello?!
Riker and Allison, you better have something magical in the works because I would not miss out on my opportunity to see it before my very eyes!

(AHHH too many great pictures/dances to be able to put them all here!!!)

Look them up, Riker and Allison. Watch their dancing, and their rehearsals, you really will not regret it :)

Photos are NOT mine.

Book Chats ❤ Lang Leav

I think poetry is one of the biggest windows to the heart.
Poets will spill all their thoughts and emotions onto the pages in front of them and that is something I really admire, last year I remember finding a poet by the name of Lang Leav, she was posting her poems for everyone to read, and I was lucky enough to find them.
Eventually she announced that she would be releasing a book filled with her poems and you could say that I was pretty ecstatic...

I purchased "Love & Misadventure" and gobbled it up so quick, I later went back and re-read each and every poem, really reading the words and the meaning behind them, the emotion that was being conveyed.
Lang Leav later released another poem book "Lullabies" and I got that one for Christmas in 2015.
I am still reading that one, I take pauses between a certain amount of poems to make sure I give each the attention it requires, and really reflecting on the words, and the clever meaning behind them.

Whenever I am down, or happy, or simply want a quick read, I open up these poem books and read the words that have a magical effect on the reader.
Words that leave me melancholic for something I once lived, or have not yet lived, they leave me feeling as though the words on the page were my own emotions, my own experiences (both good and bad).

You should give Lang's poems a read, because they are definitely something special.
