Overactive Sweat Glands...

This blog post might make you shudder because..

1) You hate armpits (like some people hate feet)
2) You can relate

...yeah those are the only two reasons I might think this post might make you shudder.
I have had this problem since I was a fresh out of growth spurt young-ling (that makes sense right?) My underarms would sweat like craaaazy, it was a serious problem that made me self-conscious and unhappy because it interfered with not only my comfort, but the clothing I bought and wore.

See, you cannot wear that pretty grey shirt because you know that before you even leave the house there will be sweat stains, and you cannot wear that pretty lace dress because the combination of the sweat and the lace will make you completely uncomfortable.

As I got older, I realized that this was a problem that I wasn't going to grow out of, and I needed to address it ASAP. Now, I'm only 18 years old but I have had to suffer with wet underarms for about my entire teenage life. When I went out with my family and went into the deodorant aisle to get a new one, I found different brands of deodorant that helped with excessive sweating, I tried one, and it worked! That first night, it was absolutely okay and I was so happy that I had finally solved my problem. But the next day (sad violin music playing in the background) my overactive sweat glands made a reappearance...sad Joanna:(

I tried different brands for months, and they would work at first and then they would stop. This helped me lead to the conclusion that my problem was bigger than any deodorant for excessive sweating could help me out of. One day, as I was in the deodorant/body spray/toothpaste etc. aisle, I happened to lay my eyes on a little beauty.

Certain Dri.
I reached for the box and read "Clinical Strength" and I got so excited. I got it and used it that first night, and I almost cried. I was so happy with the results the next day as well, I applied Certain Dri and didn't apply any normal deodorant before or after, and my underarms were still COMPLETELY dry. I touched my underarm and there was NO wetness at all. And, again, I almost cried. I did apply some normal deodorant before school and going out because Certain Dri doesn't particularly help with the smelliness of the underarm.

I am still using Certain Dri, and there are some nights when I forget to apply it and I wake up and go through the day absolutely okay, no sweat. Now, if you are absolutely hopeless and you think there is no chance you will ever have dry underarms (like I did) then I suggest you try Certain Dri. When you first use it there will be some itchiness but it goes away, and the results make you absolutely ecstatic. -Joanna

#NeonLightsTour : Demi, Fifth Harmony, Little Mix!!!

When I found out that this trio were coming to my state for Demi's Neon Lights Tour I freaked. Of course, things were a little crazy so I wasn't expected to go, I actually was sure I wouldn't be attending the concert.

Curiosity got the best of me and I went on YouTube and searched "Fifth Harmony Neon Lights Tour" and "Little Mix Neon Lights Tour" AND "Demi Neon Lights Tour" and that did it for me. Literally, I knew that I couldn't miss this show. And I talked with my parents about it and after deliberation, WE GOT TICKETS!!!

Let me tell you, I was sooo pumped for this concert like talk about GIRL POWER.

So I got the tickets two weeks before the show, and I was like YESSSS SO EXCITED!!!!

The two weeks went super fast and all of a sudden BAM it's Sunday and the concert is THAT NIGHT.

We drove to the venue/arena whatever you want to call it and it was COLD but I was so excited that I really didn't care. Got a nice tour shirt (Demi's tour shirts are the MOST AWESOME I have ever seen at a concert fyi). There were a whole bunch of people and it was really exciting to see everyone there to see the same person/people as you, isn't it great, what music and concerts do?! They unite so many people, ugh I love it all sOOOOOooooOoooOOOOooo much!!

OK.

Collin's Key, you know that guy from America's Got Talent, the magician dude? Yeah, he was there and he introduced himself and he came out and did a few tricks before and after both Fifth Harmony and Little Mix's performances, yeah.

FIFTH HARMONY.

Their entrance was so exciting and pretty and cute and I could feel my happiness and excitement grow as the music started going faster and faster until BOOM, they ripped off the covers of their cute little stands "And we play our favorite songs and we scream out all night long like oooOoooOooOOOOooooOOO when it's just me and my girls" And they were doing all sorts of cool dancing and booty popping and they looked so amazing. They were strutting around all fierce and cool and they had all sorts of dance moves and I loved EVERY second of it.

At one point Normani left the stage and I was like, uhhhhhhhhh, Normani? Where are you??!!! And then she came back on and sang and no one knew why Normany left the stage, until later. She tweeted that her top was about to fall off so she had to go backstage and fix it before she flashed everyone. lol.

Here are some awesome pictures I took of the homegirls (well not really, I've never met them, but I do wish)

 LITTLE MIX.

They came out and killlllllllllllled it. Their dancing was fierce and cool and just, ugh, no words, AMAZING.
They came out singing "Salute" and after Perrie introduced them all they sang "Move" and they danced some more. They sang acapella of "How Ya Doin" (THEY HAVE BEAUTIFUL VOICES, THEY ARE SO TALENTED) and they sang "DNA" and "Little Me" and a few other songs of theirs and I have been a fan of Little Mix for a while and I am just so happy that I got to see them in concert (going back to 5H for a sec, I have been a fan of theirs since XFactor, like when they were put together I was like hmmmmm and then they sang at judge's houses and was like ILOVEYOU??!!?)

So I honestly want to see both these groups of lovely ladies in concert and if I am given the opportunity, I am taking it.

Below are some pictures of Little Mix! :)

 DEMI.

Now for the lady that everyone was waiting for. She put on the sickest show I've ever been to. She had lights going all over the place and she was real and cool and amazing. She performed a few songs, not that many actually, but hey, not complaining. Nick didn't come out and sing, wellllllllll, I'm not too sure why.

Demi talked with her fans and gave a speech, in that moment everything was absolutely silent.

She had a moment where she played her Disney days on the screens, Sonny with a Chance, Camp Rock, her music videos and her songs like "Remember December" and "La la land" and that was really awesome. To see how much she has grown as an artist, and her crazy physical appearance change like, Mitche was all rockin the brown hair and here we have her now, with PINK hair! It's so cool.

Demi ROCKS. (Sidenote: Demi moved SOO much that she made it a little hard for me to take pictures of her, BUT THAT'S OKAY)

I hope you had the oppurtunity to go to the Neon Lights Tour when it went through your area, and if you didn't, don't feel bad, you're still awesome!:) -J

Top Technology

We all know that technology has not been around forever, it is something that slowly came to existence and transformed into the great and powerful thing it is today.
I know that if I didn’t have technology in my life, I might be accustomed to it, but growing up during the prime time of technology’s transformations, I don’t think I could imagine my life without it.
More mature adults criticize the youth of today because of our involvement with technology. Everyone is always walking around with their nose in their phones or with their phones on their ears. Of course, when misused, technology becomes something that can consume someone’s life.
But technology is much more than it is given credit for, it cures, creates, and inspires. When I was a child, technology wasn’t a part of my life, my mom took pictures of my sisters and I with her reusable Kodak cameras, heading to the grocery store to have them developed. Now moms everywhere take pictures of their babies with their phones or cameras, where the picture can be viewed immediately with the click of a button. Technology is being transformed into something that can give people their eyesight back, and help the deaf hear again. People who once saw nothing, and heard nothing can now see the beautiful world they live in, they can hear the sounds of rain falling outside their window, and the birds chirping outside their window on an early spring morning.
Families who live across the country and never get to see each other, to embrace and kiss on the cheek can now see each other on their computer and speak on the phone.  The fact that this can be done, is unbelievable, breath taking, because without the technology that exists at the tip of our fingers, we might never know certain people, because we would all move away and never be able to keep in touch and up to date on the happenings of one another.
Technology has allowed teenagers all over the world become friends with one another, all because of the fact that they love the same band, this one band can unite thousands of people, people that would have never even known of each other’s existence.
This brings me to my own experience with technology and what led me to it.
I was never really involved with technology, I had trouble writing my essays in fifth grade because I didn’t know how to type fast, and I owned my own MillsBerry account, trying to gain enough points in the arcade to purchase the ridiculously overpriced shoes I wanted. In eighth grade, I created a Twitter account that I rarely used.
Not until 2012, did I become more heavily involved in the world of technology. I was interested in music, and artists, the idea of being able to openly talk about things I loved on a social media site, and not be judged for it because everyone who saw what I said, felt the same way excited me. I stayed in touch on my IPod and my computer, I made friends and I discovered all sorts of things that I would only find out about weeks later on the television.
I use my IPod and my computer to interact with others, I do love both, and now I’ve upgraded to my phone and not so much my IPod. I think it is hard to choose between the two, because both are so integrated into my everyday life, but I would say that my computer allows me to do much more than my phone does, it lets me see things so much clearer and allows me to more easily access many other things.
My computer allows me to tweet a quirky thought on my Twitter, or check what my friends and family are up to on Facebook, I can endlessly scroll through Tumblr and save pictures that I like, check my email and type up quick responses. And most importantly, I can check up on my blog and see its growth. My blog was something that I did in the spur of the moment, I wasn’t going to take it seriously, I was going to type up whenever I felt like it and if I felt like it. But as time progressed, I realized how much I loved writing something crazy that was based on my thoughts and ideas. I was writing about my thoughts and feelings about something, and posting it so others could read it, I post pictures of fun events I’ve attended and exciting news in the entertainment world, things about my own life that are causing me stress and trouble. Without technology, my blog wouldn’t exist.
My computer is important to me. It allows me to easily stay in touch with friends and family, discover what is happening in the world I live in, and create something that people can find entertainment in. I love technology. -J
