So I don't know about all of you, but I went back to school last Friday (the 23rd).

I'm happy to be back and doing work again and all that, it's my last year of high school and I'm going to enjoy it to the full because in a year I'll be heading off to college and I know I'm going to think back to this moment and wish I could go back to now, and be in the comfort of things and people I know.

So if you are about to start school, or you already did, and you're feeling lazy and you don't want to be there. You find yourself thinking about how much more fun you would be having if you were hanging out with your friends or just on your own watching tv and doing nothing, think about this instead...

Your future. What do you want to do, what do you want to be? That singer that you love so much, that actor in your favorite movie, how hard do you think they worked to get where they are now? Do you think they were sat on their butt all day doing absolutely nothing, wishing they could do something and become something but never really trying to get on the path to that dream?

Such great things are coming for you and for me, and school is just another step there. As hard and tedious as it might be, as annoying as it might be to wake up when the sun hasn't even come out yet, this is all for you and your future. School helps you become a better and more improved version of yourself. So think about all that you will achieve and realize that school is part of the puzzle that is your life.

You are sooo fortunate to be going to school, there are girls and other children that are the same age as you that wish and dream of sitting in a classroom, holding a pencil in their hand as they take notes, then raise their hand to answer the question, and they will never be able to experience any of it. So realize that school is something that a lot of us take for granted, school is a privilege, and it's up to you what you turn that privilege into. Make it count. -J
